EnergyBits Giveaway!!

Image
Oh my goodness you guys. I have so been wanting to do this giveaway for WEEKS now and never got my crap together enough to get it up here. I hope you will forgive me and I hope you will enter and tell all your friends!! What is  ENERGYbits  any way? In short it is an awesome natural fuel. A little been longer of an explaination, right from the source: " ENERGYbits® are tiny algae tabs so nutritionally dense, they eliminate fatigue and hunger instantly. Want a healthy, natural way to fuel your game or fire up your brain? ENERGYbits® are for you! NO caffeine, sugar, chemicals, gluten or soy, just pure, plant based nutrition, all for just ONE calorie per tab." In reality these beautiful green little guys are my heros. Is that a little extreme? Not really sorry!!  I actually tried these a little less than a year ago and have never looked back. I use them as fuel for running anything over 5 or so miles. I especially love my bits for long runs and they work like a c...

Long run week # 3

Image
Seriously guys. Monday and Tuesday were super beyond crazy at work and I couldn't wait to leave the front door. I really meant to blog last night and after work, running 3 miles in the hot stinking sauna that is PA this week, getting my hair cut, eating dinner, and taking a shower... I just couldn't.make.myself.MOVE. No lie. A rough start to the week aside, I did have a nice run on Saturday. 9 miles were on the schedule.. and that's what I did. It was a little rough (ankle pain lives on) at the beginning until I got in gear and then the last mile since I had no more water, but overall I am happy with it. The only fuel I used was my beloved Energy Bits ! I started a little later than I hoped but got out the door and ran the easiest route to calculate 9 miles. I left my house and ran toward the market street bridge that leads into Harrisburg and ran along the river. I have lots of weird thoughts when I run down there- especially early in the morning. Sadly...

Eight Miler

I don't know why, but I couldn't come up with anything more exciting than that for a title. Guess its Monday. Anyway, that'd what I did Saturday. 8 pretty fantastic miles. I really wasn't sure what to expect when I set out Saturday morning given the week I had. Tuesday I met a friend to run along the river. At mile 1, I had a stomach cramp SO intense I had to stop. I normally breath through these things and just deal.. not this time my friends. It hurt. It really really hurt. Then I started back up again and focused really hard on breathing.. and I was ok. Then at mile 3.6 I thought I was going to die. Ok. I am exaggerating.. but I was feeling dehydrated to so we walked back to our cars. Thursday I met another friend to run at Wildwood Park but my ankle/left leg did not want to be there as much as I did. It hurt so bad that I barely made it one lap around the park until I winced back to my car and drove home. Friday was rest day and I rested hardcore. Iced and e...
